Brown-eyed Susan Wildflower Seeds

$499

Gaillardia aristata

Brown-eyed Susan, also known as blanket flower because of its ability to disperse widely, is one of the hardiest, longest flowering native North American perennials. It is grows best in well drained, nutrient-poor soil and adapts very well to most sunny locations, making it an excellent choice for dry gardens.

The centre of the flower is a dark reddish purple. The petals appear as a delightful yellow sunflower that attract and provide camouflage for butterflies. Brown-eyed Susan blooms until the first frost and is a spectacular show of colour amid other withering plants. It propagates easily by seed, and grows well with prairie coneflower.

Detailed germination instructions are inside the package.
