Purple Coneflower Wildflower Seeds
Purple Coneflower is a tall, impressive wildflower native to North American prairie meadows. Its daisy-like, pinkish-purple ray petals droop elegantly from its bristling purplish-brown cone-shaped centre. Purple Coneflower grows from 60cm to 1.5m (2-5ft) tall. It blooms from June to October, attracting many species of butterflies as it is one of their favourite sources of nectar. It is often seen growing beautifully coupled with Black-eyed Susan in dry to moist well-drained soils with full sun or light shade.
Purple Coneflower has been used for centuries by aboriginal people of the prairies as an antidote for snake bites. Today it is widely used as an immune system booster.
